- What is a market calendar?
- A market calendar lists the scheduled events that can move stocks, futures and options in a given week: company earnings reports, U.S. economic data releases such as inflation and jobs reports, and speeches by Federal Reserve officials.
- When are earnings released?
- Companies report either before the U.S. market opens at 9:30 AM ET or after it closes at 4:00 PM ET. Exact times vary by company and are confirmed by each company.
- What time are U.S. economic reports released?
- Most major U.S. economic data, including the jobs report and PCE inflation, is released at 8:30 AM ET. Reports such as the ISM surveys, consumer confidence and job openings usually come out at 10:00 AM ET.
- What do F and P mean?
- F is the consensus forecast for the release and P is the previous reading. When no forecast was published, only the previous value is shown.
- How often is this calendar updated?
- Every weekend, for the week ahead. Schedules can change, so confirm times with the source before trading around an event.
